Thanks to their expertise in Intellectual Property issues, Winnotek partners were joint authors of the “White Book” « SME case studies » published by the EPO (European Patent Office).
In close collaboration with IP experts selected in several European countries, the EPO built up a series of case studies analyzing European SMEs particularly successful in creating value from their patents and other Intellectual Property Rights.
12 SMEs contributed their success stories during the project, including one French (Webdyn) interviewed and analyzed by Pierre Ollivier, and one Spanish (Fractus) interviewed and analyzed by Philippe Simon. The comprehensive book and the individual detailed success stories for each SME are available online on the EPO’s website epo.org/sme.
These case studies illustrate how emerging or already steady-state SMEs developed their competences for efficient IP management, and how they create value out of their IP to secure competitive advantages.
